Tuesday 18th November, 6.30 – 8.00pm – (1.5hours) Join blues guitarist Chris Smith for a hands-on workshop designed for beginners and improvers. You’ll explore the roots of acoustic blues while developing essential fingerstyle techniques, including the claw-hammer approach. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, Chris will guide you through the fundamentals to help you build confidence, rhythm, and authentic blues tone. All students will need to bring their own acoustic guitar. We have some spares in case anyone is without. Objectives: - Learn to play fingerstyle, blues guitar with increasing confidence. - Develop fundamental musicianship skills (pitch, rhythm, pulse, harmony, fine-motor, coordination & listening) - Discover and discuss new blues music - Connect with like-minded musicians - Have fun and learn a new skill in a group PLEASE NOTE: This course is not for complete beginners but, those with a basic understanding of tuning their instruments, playing a few chords. Cancellations, refunds and exchanges: If you cancel your course or class 14 clear days or more before the start date, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your course or class less than 14 clear days before the start date, refunds will be given at the discretion of Craven Arts.
