Service Description

A fun week of activity giving children the freedom to play and create through music and art. The children will share the work created with families and friends at the end of the week. Children will sign up for a full week of activity and take part in both music and art sessions. Led by professional artist educators with experience of working with children in schools and community settings. DBS checked. Limited places available. Objectives: Develop a broad range of practical art skills, create work to fit a topic brief, have fun and improve creative confidence. Materials and equipment required: All materials provided. **Please only wear older clothes as we do use paint, glue etc. Booking for 2 or more siblings? Use code SIBLING for 10% discount. About your tutors: Jane Carlisle Bellerby is a silk and mixed media artist and experienced teacher whose teaching goals are to introduce people to a broad range of art techniques and media, improve creative confidence whilst also encouraging people to view companionable art-making as a tool for nurturing personal wellbeing. Amanda Beck is a professional artist and experienced educator with a strong background in delivering creative, cross-curricular workshops for children and young people. She has led school sessions at the Ashmolean Museum, Bradford Museums, and across Oxfordshire, engaging pupils from Early Years to secondary level through hands-on art activities inspired by museum collections. Her work spans a wide range of media and settings, and she has also supported inclusive arts education for young people with special educational needs through projects such as Song Unite and Arts Award mentoring. Megan Roe is a passionate multi-instrumentalist and qualified teacher with a BA in Popular Music from Leeds College of Music. Having performed with the award-winning trio J Frisco, she brings a deep understanding of music’s transformative potential. Since gaining Qualified Teacher Status in 2021, Megan has led music education at Flakefleet Primary School, directing both the school and staff bands. She now runs the Craven Academy for Modern Music (CAMM) from the Craven Arts House music rooms, empowering musicians of all ages.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations, refunds and exchanges: If you cancel your course or class 14 clear days or more before the start date, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your course or class less than 14 clear days before the start date, refunds will be given at the discretion of Craven Arts. No refunds or partial refunds will be given once the course has started. Craven Arts reserves the right to make alterations to the published details course as necessary and/or cancel the course. In the event that the course has to be cancelled or rescheduled, we will attempt to contact you with as much notice as possible and you will receive a full refund. Craven Arts cannot take responsibility for any of your travel and other costs and/or expenses associated with your attendance or planned attendance of the course (including in the event of changes or cancellation by the Craven Arts). You cannot resell or transfer your place at the course or class without the Craven Arts consent.
