 about

Operating since 2017, Craven Arts is an artist led organisation formed by a group of highly

committed and experienced artists who live and work in the Craven area.

To support local creativity we are opening a centre for contemporary arts in Skipton,

called the Craven Arts House. This building was launched in December 2022.

Craven District Council raised significant funds for the project: English Heritage, Heritage Action Zone, Arts Council England and Architectural Heritage Fund. We are working closely with our partner organisation North Yorkshire Council. More information about Craven Arts House and funders can be found in here.

We offer and promote opportunities for the Craven community to meet and connect with artists; participate in workshops and see exhibitions by Craven's established and emerging visual artists. We hold exhibitions, events and workshops that everyone is welcome to attend.

By providing arts facilities for creation, professional development, education and training we will make Craven a better place to live both culturally and economically.

Craven Arts has two locations in central Skipton:

■Craven Arts House @ 55 Otley St, Skipton, BD23 1ET

■Craven Arts Studio Shop @ 7a Otley St, Skipton, BD23 1DY
