Make More Music is an educational project offering young musicians between the ages of 11-17 the opportunity to learn music in a group setting for free.
Location:
Craven Arts House, 55 Otley St, Skipton, BD23 1ET
Craven Arts House includes 3 rehearsal spaces, all kitted out with musical equipment for teaching and learning.
Times and Dates:
9 weekly sessions on Thursday evenings between 7.15pm - 9.15pm.
First session:
23rd April and then weekly until Thursday 25th June.
No session on Thursday 28th May (half term).
Final performance:
Afternoon/evening of Friday 28th August. Applicants must be available on this date.

Make More Music Project funded by:
The project will be based on 3 key themes:
Adaptable, open-minded musicians
Aware and prepared performers
Fearless songwriters
Flexible and open-minded in their approach to working with others and playing a variety of genres. Receptive of feedback from tutors and peers.
Committed to overcoming challenges and taking responsibility for their preparation towards a live performance.
Unafraid of inner critic and enjoys the process and outcome of songwriting and music-making.
Performances:
There will be 2 performance opportunities ahead of the main performance. These will be an open mic night style show at Craven Arts House, especially for Make More Music students on Saturday May 30th at 12:00-16:00. There will be an additional performance opportunity at Ilkley live on July 10th at 17:00-19:00. The final Make More Music performance will be for Skipton Live at Craven Arts House at 15:00-17:00 on August 28th that applicants need to be available for.
