making music together
Craven Arts House is a lively home for music-making in Skipton, welcoming a wide range of musicians, groups and learners. Our spaces are used by Skipton Community Orchestra, Skipton Musical Theatre, and the Craven Academy of Modern Music, alongside many other rehearsals, workshops and lessons throughout the year.
With a variety of rooms available, we can accommodate everything from small practice sessions to larger ensemble rehearsals and performances. If you’re looking for a welcoming, flexible space for music, we’d love to hear from you.

Band Sessions for Kids
Designed for ages 8–11 and 12-16, our band sessions turn individual practice into a high-energy group experience, helping students find their unique voice while making lifelong friends through music.
Band Sessions for Adults
Beyond the school runs and packed lunches, our Mums band sessions give parents the chance to reclaim their inner rockstars and enjoy the social and therapeutic power of making music in a relaxed, supportive group.
Individual Sessions
Beyond our group sessions, we offer tailored one-to-one tuition in electric and acoustic guitar, bass, drums, percussion, vocals, and keys, alongside specialised coaching in music production and theory to help every student master their craft at their own pace.
Mums that strum
Our 'Mums That Strum' sessions provide a warm, zero-pressure space for complete beginners to pick up a guitar for the first time and discover that it’s never too late to learn a new skill and find your own rhythm.
Music + Play ( ages 4-7 )
In our 'Music and Play' sessions, we channel the boundless energy of 4–7 year olds into creative expression, where every beat and song is a step toward finding their own musical voice.
