Retail Opportunities at Craven Arts
Craven Arts is excited to expand our retail offering with two new opportunities designed to showcase the talent of our Members and increase creative visibility in Skipton.

Craven Arts House
We are launching a curated shop inside Craven Arts House, offering original artworks, bespoke gifts, artisan cards, and handmade items by our Members. This pilot programme planned to start from October 2026, will initially feature 8–10 selected artists, chosen through an application process to ensure a rich variety of work and an inspiring customer experience.
If the shop is a success, the artist selection will be refreshed every quarter.
Items will be taken on a sale‑or‑return basis, with no fee to apply and a 25% commission on sales, paid monthly.
Successful applicants must commit to one weekly 2.5‑hour shop shift (Thursday–Sunday, either 11:00–1:30pm or 1:30–4:00pm) while their work is for sale.
We especially welcome 3D artists and makers, helping us build a vibrant artisan outlet that supports Skipton’s creative economy and increases footfall into our wonderful building.

7a Otley Street
We are also gathering expressions of interest for a potential pop‑up shop space at our Studio/Shop on 7a Otley Street. With one of the downstairs studio spaces becoming available in September 2026, we are exploring the possibility of turning this area into a rotating pop‑up retail space for Members before seeking a new long‑term tenant.
The space includes:
-
A high‑visibility front window
-
Wall hanging fixtures
-
Ample room for 3D displays
Just off the main high street, this location offers excellent visibility and footfall and would allow you to showcase your work to a larger audience. The space would be available to book for £180 per calendar month, either by an individual artist or a group collaborating together.
You would be responsible for taking your own sales via cash or your own card payment system. Any sales made would not be subject to any commission to Craven Arts.
