Winter Exhibition 2026
Wonder
Craven Arts House invites artists to submit work for Wonder, an exhibition celebrating awe, curiosity, joy, spirituality and imagination during the festive season.
Artists may interpret Wonder in many ways: through awe in nature, childhood curiosity, storytelling and imagination, craftsmanship, scientific discovery, mystery, transformation, community, or the quiet beauty of everyday life. We encourage submissions that invite viewers to pause, look closely, and rediscover a sense of wonder in the world around them.
As the exhibition takes place during the Christmas season, artists may wish to consider submitting works that would make thoughtful and distinctive gifts for visitors. We welcome a wide range of artistic practices, including wall-based works such as painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and textiles; sculptural and three-dimensional pieces; and book art, artist books, and zines.
Join us in creating an exhibition that sparks imagination, inspires connection, and invites visitors to experience a sense of wonder during this special time of year.

Submission limits vary by artwork type:
3D artists/makers: Up to 10 pieces (more if small—just ask!)
2D artists: Up to 3 pieces (no larger than approximately 50cm x 50cm)
All artists: Up to 50 cards and 4 browser items
Key Dates
Entry Submission Deadline: 11:59pm on 5th October
Delivery of artworks: 2nd November 10am - 4pm
Public opening: 5th November, 10 - 4pm
Preview Event: 6th November, 5 - 7pm
Exhibition close: 20th December, 4pm
Collection of unsold artworks: 21st December 10am - 4pm
Fees
Entry Fee: £20
Commission Rate: 20%
