Join Amanda Beck, an experienced watercolourist and art tutor for a fun and enjoyable creative session learning some key watercolour techniques to create your own unique Christmas winter landscape. Skill Level: Beginners to improvers (All welcome) Get into the Christmas spirit with this relaxed and hands-on watercolour class where you’ll learn how to paint a winter landscape. Amanda will guide you step by step through the process sharing how she creates a sense of atmosphere and place using the beautiful medium of watercolour. You will also have the choice of adding some figures (they could be family members?) Each stage will be clearly demonstrated and explained through demonstrations and 1:1 tuition. Your little masterpiece will make a great gift and a lovely keepsake. Workshop Objectives: • Choosing the perfect palette for creating a Christmas winter Landscape • Brush strokes and water control • Essential watercolour techniques for creating a fir tree • How to create distance in a landscape • Putting it into practice to complete a finished Christmas winter Landscape • Build confidence and enjoy the creative process Materials and Equipment: All materials will be provided, plus refreshments and mince pies! There is also the opportunity to purchase a sample of the colours used to continue practising at home. Additional Information Please be aware that Craven Arts isn’t open on a Wednesday so the tutor will be waiting in the foyer to let you in at 10.15am ready to start at 10.30am. The Tutor needs time to set up the room so it is advisable not to arrive before 10am. About Your Tutor: Amanda Beck Amanda has been teaching and running popular watercolour classes at Craven Arts for the last two years. She has over 25 years of teaching experience and is also a practising Artist who enjoys painting on location. Feedback from previous sessions with Amanda: Good revision for me. Clear instructions and demonstrations Amanda has a lovely, relaxed teaching style. She has given me encouragement to carry on with watercolour painting and to enjoy the process, thank you. Thank you! Cancellation Policy
Cancellations, refunds and exchanges: If you cancel your course or class 14 clear days or more before the start date, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your course or class less than 14 clear days before the start date, refunds will be given at the discretion of Craven Arts. No refunds or partial refunds will be given once the course has started. Craven Arts reserves the right to make alterations to the published details course as necessary and/or cancel the course. In the event that the course has to be cancelled or rescheduled, we will attempt to contact you with as much notice as possible and you will receive a full refund. Craven Arts cannot take responsibility for any of your travel and other costs and/or expenses associated with your attendance or planned attendance of the course (including in the event of changes or cancellation by the Craven Arts). You cannot resell or transfer your place at the course or class without the Craven Arts consent.
