Service Description
Enjoy an afternoon of painting free flowing and expressive skies in watercolour. Skies are a great place to start if you’re new to watercolour or already have some experience and want to take your watercolour practice further. Painting skies can seem daunting at first but once you begin, you’ll soon be eager to paint another one! This workshop will help you plan your sky so you can experience more spontaneity when you paint. You’ll be taught through demonstrations alongside lots of 1:1 encouragement from an experienced Tutor. Suitable for beginners to those with some experience Objectives Choosing the perfect palette for creating a dramatic sky Brush strokes and water control Essential watercolour techniques for creating skies Make several watercolour studies to understand how to utilise and master the techniques demonstrated Putting it into practice to complete a finished skyscape Build confidence and enjoy the creative process Materials and Equipment All materials are provided on this workshop. This includes good quality watercolour paper and Windsor and Newton Cotman watercolour paint. If you have brushes already and would like to bring them along please feel free. Additional Information Please be aware that Craven Arts isn’t open on a Wednesday so the tutor will be waiting in the foyer to let you in at 1.15pm ready to start at 1.30pm. Amanda is a local Yorkshire Artist and Arts Educator with a passion for drawing on location and sharing her enthusiasm on her courses for recording everyday life through the medium of sketchbooks. Cancellations, refunds and exchanges: If you cancel your course or class 14 clear days or more before the start date, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your course or class less than 14 clear days before the start date, refunds will be given at the discretion of Craven Arts. No refunds or partial refunds will be given once the course has started. Craven Arts reserves the right to make alterations to the published details course as necessary and/or cancel the course. In the event that the course has to be cancelled or rescheduled, we will attempt to contact you with as much notice as possible and you will receive a full refund. Craven Arts cannot take responsibility for any of your travel and other costs and/or expenses associated with your attendance or planned attendance of the course (including in the event of changes or cancellation by the Craven Arts). You cannot resell or transfer your place at the course or class without the Craven Arts consent.
