Wild and Free:

Where the Heart Lies

In 'Wild and Free', Bridget March explores her passion for wildlife, which flourished during the 2019-2021 lockdown periods.

An introspective period for many, Bridget set out to rediscover her creative self, reconnecting with ideas around uninhibited expression and freedom from expectations and fear.

She spent the lockdown years in her harbour studio in Vietnam. Inspired by Vivienne Westwood's campaigns for citizen rights and the preservation of the Amazon Rainforest, she embarked on a mission to raise awareness about endangered species in Asia, which has since blossomed into a passion for local and garden wildlife in Yorkshire.

Bridget’s artistic expression transcends a single style or medium.  Employing a figurative approach for wildlife, she embraces abstraction, conveying joy, belonging, and energy.

The exhibition will run Thursday-Sunday, 11am-4pm until Sunday 31st May.
