The Big Draw Festival is the world’s largest celebration of drawing in all its forms, bringing people together through the power of creativity.

This year's Big Draw Festival celebrates the act of creation itself, exploring drawing not just as a visual language, but as a powerful tool for play, reflection and self-expression.

Join us as we experiment with unusual mark-making tools, ink and oil pastels to create bold, expressive drawings inspired by something you can see, feel, remember or imagine. There are no rules and no right or wrong way to draw, just an opportunity to explore your creativity and make your mark.

Craven Arts House is delighted to host two drop-in mixed-media drawing sessions for the whole family, led by tutors Leticia Suárez and Jane Carlisle Bellerby.

Saturday 10 October, 2.00pm to 4.00pm

Saturday 17 October, 2.00pm to 4.00pm

at Craven Arts House

Drop in, get creative, and discover how drawing can help us connect, explore ideas

and express ourselves in unexpected ways.

We believe art should be accessible to everyone, regardless of income. To ensure we can continue offering high-quality creative experiences while paying our artist tutors fairly in line with Artists Union England rates, we invite you to contribute whatever you can, or whatever you feel the activity is worth.

Book your place via our website and select a donation amount that feels right for you, or drop-in and make a contribution on the day. Every donation helps us continue providing accessible arts activities for our community.
